Classic Cinema: Free Film/Popcorn

Enjoy conversation, popcorn, and trivia ahead of these twice monthly viewings in the Rotunda Gallery! Join Carnegie’s very own cinephiles Richard and Georgie to learn about the fascinating actors, composers, directors, and history behind some of cinema’s most intriguing films! This month, immerse yourself in showings of On Dangerous Ground, February 11, and Harvey, February 25.
February 11 (Film Noir): Our first film follows a hardened city cop, Jim (Robert Ryan), who is softened by a blind woman, Mary (Ida Lupino). Her brother, as it happens, is involved in a rural man hunt led by Jim. On Dangerous Ground features a score by Bernard Herman and is reportedly the film composer’s favorite work.
