Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. Announces the Official Launch of its CEO Search

Minneapolis Firm CohenTaylor Appointed to Conduct the Nationwide Effort

January 16, 2024 (Mankato, MN) – Greater Mankato Growth’s search committee, tasked with the selection of a new President & CEO, announces the nationwide search process has now progressed to the candidate identification and selection process.

The search committee has retained the services of Minneapolis-based search firm, CohenTaylor, to conduct the search. “We are honored to be chosen to lead this high-profile search,” stated Chris Cohen, founder of CohenTaylor. “We are confident the next leader will be identified and successfully recruited to lead this outstanding organization,” said Cohen.

“I am very thankful for the energy and engagement of the search committee members that have moved us to this stage in the process so efficiently,” said Charlie Whitaker, Chair of the search committee. “The work completed in the closing weeks of 2023 included a competitive bid process for an independent search firm as well as the deliberate outreach to a broad cross-section of community stakeholders to gather their input on the attributes needed for this next GMG leader,” stated Whitaker.

The committee anticipates the search process will be completed early in the second quarter of 2024, following GMG Board approval.
