Recently, a business development effort in the Greater Mankato area was written up by Downtown Development Center.

Downtown Development Center is a 50+-year-old organization focused on serving as a clearinghouse on practical strategies and tactics for revitalizing the hearts of cities.

The article presented a multiple phase Business Retention and Expansion (BR&E) effort to connect with existing downtown businesses by the City Center Partnership’s Business Development Committee. The City Center Partnership is the downtown development arm of Greater Mankato Growth, Inc.

This BR&E effort involved compiling a market study and conducting “Business Walks” through commercial neighborhoods within the downtown/city center.
