ABOUT VOLK TRANSFER
Volk Transfer is a 3rd generation, family-owned transportation, logistics, and warehousing business, that has grown exponentially in recent years. Frank Volk started Volk Transfer in 1948 with only one tractor, and soon after that, built his first facility. In 1974, Richard “Rick” Volk became President and continued to run the business until he passed away at a young age in March 1993. Carol Volk, wife of late Rick, took over the business in 1993, until 1997 when current owner and President/CEO, Troy Volk took over and continues to own and operate Volk Transfer today. Over the last 75 years, Volk transfer has resided at three different addresses, and since 2011, is located at 2205 7th Avenue, Mankato. In addition to the 3 offsite warehouses, Volk recently completed their North Mankato Warehouse Expansion project, which gives them an additional 84,000 square feet to the existing 60,000 square feet at that facility.
