Since its first performance in 1742, Handel’s Messiah has remained one of the most famous pieces of classical music ever. Its stunning beauty and passion have stirred audiences for 281 years. The Mankato Symphony began its own tradition of Messiah performances in 1950, the year our orchestra began. In 2023 the MSO joins forces with the Messiah Chorus and world-class soloists to bring you 90 minutes of Messiah’s most popular and beloved tunes, including the Hallelujah Chorus. Join us in December and continue the tradition!
