Vista Prairie at Monarch Meadows is now Vista Prairie at North Pointe and offering Independent Living as an age in place living option

(North Mankato, MN | April 22, 2024) – Vista Prairie at Monarch Meadows in North Mankato, has announced to residents, family members and staff that they will be renaming their community to their flagship name. Many from the area will remember that the community’s name used to be North Point some years ago. They noted that they are going back to their roots with the name with a small change, as they believe it strongly represents them and the direction, they are heading in.

“We are adding the “E” to celebrate what makes us special. The “E” on North Pointe represents the EXCEPTIONAL leadership and dedicated team members that are called to serve in our community. Our “E” helps us remember that we’re only here because of the EXCEPTIONAL residents who share their lives and stories with us and allow us to be an extension of their family. Finally, adding the “E” gives us an opportunity to share the EXCEPTIONAL lifestyle you can expect when you call Vista Prairie at North Pointe, home,” says Kim Putz, Executive Director of Vista Prairie at North Pointe.

In addition to their name change, Vista Prairie at North Pointe now offers independent living as an age in place living option in their community which is a significant cost differential from assisted living or independence plus. This is an opportunity for individuals that do not currently need support with daily life activities and personal care services, yet want to enjoy maintenance-free living, have peace of mind, security, and socialization, living in community with other seniors on a parallel journey in life.

“With independent living, you can add assisted living support and services in the future without relocating to another apartment. You also receive access to all the special events, activities, and programs such as Aspire – Life on Purpose, as well as support services like housekeeping, maintenance, and trash removal, for no additional costs,” says Kim Hanson, Sales and Community Marketing Manager of Vista Prairie at North Pointe.

Vista Prairie at North Pointe also updated the new independent living apartments to include new flooring, fixtures, appliances, and fresh paint for an overall refreshed look and feel.

Staff are inviting guests to schedule tours as soon as they’d like to visit. They will also be hosting an open house on May 10th from 2:00 – 4:00 to celebrate the name change and showcase the new independent living offering.
